I Love Skiing with Mike Gleason, Who Knows What Will Happen!

Well, I am going to start with the middle of our ski day.  Lunchtime.  We were sitting next to a young couple and Mike was spying their food (as he does frequently).  He mentioned to me that we just can't eat like that anymore.  We were both sort of giggling and we started talking to them.  I told them what Mike was saying about their food.  I asked Mike to show them the hard boiled egg he was eating.  They offered Mike whatever they couldn't eat.  They had a lot of food.  I mean a lot.  Mike politely declined and said he just didn't need it.  We brought our lunch.  Mike probably would have called it a lunch for old people.  Whew!  Dodged that bullet.  Not so much.  A little time passed and Mike started talking to them about their food again.  AND, see that plate of food?  It wasn't Mike's food.  He just couldn't say no!  I love him!
This is the nice couple that shared their food.  I told them I had to document the moment!
Now back to the beginning of the day.  We were a little concerned about the conditions at 49 based on the weather in Spokane.  God blessed us with a beautiful day of skiing.  When you are the passenger you can see things that you can't or shouldn't when you are driving.  A deer made of hay.  I am pretty sure it is Rudolph based not the red nose.  I also found the wooden bear that hides on a hillside.
I love it when Mike goes skiing with me.  First topic of the day was the beautiful scenery created for us to see.  God loves us and shows us in lots of ways every single day.  You just have to look around.
A skiers dream day.  Sunshine and snow.
I was trying to get a picture of Mike skiing but I missed him.  Instead I have a nice picture of a snowboarder.

 Lunchtime for the Gleasons!

Mike got pictures of me but I wasn't moving.
We really had a great time.  I am over my concern of getting hurt like last year.  The eagle sighting last ski trip took care of that.  The snow was great, the weather was perfect and most of all we were together!

Toby Mac and Friends

Dinner for 13 before the Toby Mac concert!  We all met at the Backyard for dinner.  What a crew! Co-workers, family and friends!
Mike joined us for dinner but did not go to the concert.  He isn't a huge Toby Mac fan.
Love my teaching team!  Bob's son-in-law, Bob and Paulla.  Bob's son-in-law doesn't teach with us.
 Love my husband too.

Here we are!  The seats were great!  One thing about great seats is the music is louder.
Just saying, it is hard to get pictures at a concert where the bright lights are shining on the performers.  I tried several settings and finally got one that was OK.
Mandisa wasn't the first performer. I was wandering around while the others were playing.  Wow! She has a powerful voice and was open with her struggles in life.  God accepts you just as you are.  You don't have to have it all together.  That's what God is for.  He works miracles in us!

Favorite song from Mandia was Overcomer!
Ryan Stevenson!

And then there was Danny Gokey.  Dancing and singing for Jesus.  He has quite a story.  Losing his wife right before he was on American Idol and here he is singing for our God.  Speaks to the healing power of God.
Tell Your Heart to Beat Again! In this moment Heaven's working everything for your good.  Click to listen.  I stopped recording at the chorus because I wanted to watch and sing!

Toby Mac, Lights Shine Bright (with some one's sleeve in the picture).
Toby Mac put on a great show.

My one thought about this concert was I wished it was a bit more worshipful.  The music was great but at times it was difficult to understand the powerful words that were being sung.  There are lots of ways to worship God and it is different for everyone.

When you can't adjust the color right you make the picture black and white.

This song is one of my favorites.  Move (Keep Walking)!  You should listen to it on YouTube.

Till the Day I Die!  A song about being committed to God until the day we die.  The truth is we aren't going to die.  Our earthly body will but we won't.  We will be committed to God forever!  That is such a good thing!  I love the Lord and I want my faith to become stronger every single day!

Just Experimenting

Just taking some pictures of my neighborhood and playing around with the photos!
 That's a squirrel's nest in the tree.

A Star in the Making! Lucy February 2018

It was all about it isn't the beauty on the outside that counts, it's the beauty on the inside that really matters.  A great life lesson for adults and for kids.  It all started with a beautiful princess that was not beautiful on the inside.  Lucy was spreading some grain!

 There is the grouchy princess.
Every story needs to have a fairy godfather.

A party with music and dancing.

She is starting to learn a lesson about beauty inside!

In the end they all lived happily ever after and the princess changed.  She was beautiful inside and out!

Not sure what was going on here.  This was the curtain call.

As usual it was a wonderful thing watching a grandchild doing a great job and having fun!  Congratulations for a great performance Lucy!  We love you!
