Some Fishing with the Gleasons

What a beautiful day to head to the river!!!  When we got to the Gleason's rental house no one was there.  They were out on the pontoon boat.  They came and swooped us up.

River's friend Landry came with them.  Landry is a year older than Rivers and lives in the same neighborhood.
Fishing was on the agenda.  You can see Mike in the background preparing his fishing gear.  I was a spectator for sure.

And here we go.  Michel, Rivers, Landry and Mike were fishing.  Kenny fished a little.

Cute!

The boys and Michel were catching some smaller fish.  Some they threw back and some they kept.  Here is Mike's catch!

Pretty good.  For someone who doesn't like fishing this was really fun to watch. Very exciting!
Success!
Kissing the fish?  Really?

Landry and Rivers getting the hook out of a fish.
This was the one that got away.  It was bigger than the one Mike actually caught.
Mike got it right up to the boat and this fish got loose.  A net will be coming with us next time!

We are heading back with some fish!

Time to cook some fish and for me to head home.  I had to leave early because of our little dogs.
This conversation was about how to rig things up for Rivers and Landry so they could catch bigger fish.  We will see what happens next time we visit.

Lathrop Doolittle Fun!

One last visit with the Doolittle boys.  Dinner at the Lathrops along with lots of good old fashion fun!
We started with a game of Fly Up.  It got a little competitive at times.  We finally had to make a rule that if you pushed you had to sit out for awhile.  This family isn't competitive at all.

These two joined us after a walk to the dirt pile.
 Waiting, waiting!
 More waiting!!!

After Fly Up was the Corn Hole game!  Ryland was explaining how he does the scoring.  Instead of just adding up points he threw in subtracting points.  You got three points and I got two points so actually I only have one point.  That's Ryland for you.

Right in the middle of the game she sits.
Lucy looks like she is up to something for sure.
Now card games in the house before dinner.

 Board games after dinner!

We were getting ready to leave and the badminton came out.  Oh what fun!

The sun is starting to set and Mike and I are heading home.  Joy, pure joy!  Love all these people so much.  It was a great night.
