Hiking, Fort Mukogawa to the Bowl and Pitcher

6.87 miles and 3 hours of hiking.  We were concerned about the weather because it was raining.  By the time we started the clouds were still around but no rain.  We live in a beautiful place!  We took time to take pictures and just enjoy our surroundings and each other. I love to take pictures of reflections in the water!  Not much to say in this blog post but there is a lot to see!
Just love the clouds in this picture!!

The gang! Sheila, Bonnie, Peggy and me!

We made it to the Bowl and Pitcher!

Not sure what happened to the color on this picture.  My phone must have changed a setting!

I bet this is a great picture of Bonnie and Peggy.  The river was right behind them.

 Headed back!
Well, we took a wrong turn and the trail we were on ended.  We didn't turn around and go back we just saw the river and headed toward it through the woods.  Bushwhacking style. Kind of fun.
 We could see the river!

As always we ended our time with some coffee, food and fellowship.  I have to say hiking is really fun! Especially with good friends.

Hiking Tubbs Hill, CDA

Shaking it up a bit!  Getting off the asphalt and on the rocky, dirt trails.  Did you know there is a decent amount of uphill when you climb hills?  There is!  A beautiful day for a hike with great friends!
We have arrived at Tubbs Hill in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.  It is about a 35 minute drive from my house.   Right around the corner.
 Ready to go!
The first half of our hike was around the lake.
I had the best company ever!!!

This looks pretty fun.  I think I would like this more than dropping from an airplane with a parachute.
Glorious scenery!  We live in a beautiful place, lakes, rivers and mountains all around us.

Some scenery pictures.  As I walk through all these trees and see the lake beside us I am reminded how great our God is.  How good our God is.  This was all created for his glory and for us to enjoy.  I don't ever want to take what God has given me for granted.  I am beyond thankful!

Surprise! There was a small suspension bridge along the way.  Hang on!!!
 We safely crossed it.

 Almost finished with our hike!
We are back to the start and look what we saw.  This inspired us to do the same in a few weeks!
All done!  I was thirsty.  Next time I will bring water!  This was the only wild animal we saw on our journey!  This moose was very friendly and didn't even move when we gathered around him to take a picture!
I am really becoming a fan of the trails.  We have so many beautiful areas in the Pacific Northwest to enjoy!  I love being with my friends and experiencing what God has created for us.  I want to do more and more of these hikes and when winter comes, snowshoeing.  Snowshoeing is winter hiking.

Our traditional food together to end the adventure!
