Bridge to Brunch 5K

What a gorgeous day for a walk in Spokane!  The leaves on the trees were beginning to change.  There was a bit of crispness in the air.  These two ladies are the best.  They inspire me! Jackie, Bonnie and Peggy! 

We were on a mission to get pictures with the mascots that were there.

This was fun and an event I look forward to doing again.  It's always a good time being with Bonnie and Peggy!  This race raised money for behavioral health in our community. A great event for a great cause.  

 

The Boulevard Race 2024

I believe this race will become a tradition for me even though it was on a Sunday.  It was such a fun time with lots of bands and sideline cheering along that way.  I didn't start taking pictures until I was half way through.  I thought I better document this, it's great! This is the second Boulevard Race.  There was a couple thousand people that attended.

Some of our sideline support might have been having more fun than we were.  

This was a 4 mile event.  I walked with Peggy. 

The Gonzaga basketball players even cheered us on! Didn't get a picture of them.

The Walk to Defeat ALS 2022

I wasn't going to do the Walk to Defeat ALS this year.  I had back surgery and the recovery has been rough.  I decided to at least try and raise some money for ALS.  I started a team and my friends kicked in. Team Gleason was in second place for fundraising.  We all headed to Mirabeau Park to walk.  As you can see Sheila's future daughter in law is expecting.  I was recovering so we didn't walk the whole thing.  You will see the rest of the team in the last picture.  I am so thankful for all of the people that joined Team Gleason and donated!  It was an awesome first year back!  So glad I decided to do this.

This is the rest of our team.  They volunteered to help with the walk.  They were a big part of our fundraising success.  We had someone take a group picture but she didn't push the button down all the way.  Disappointing but there is always next year! Thank you to all of you!  I am so grateful!

 

It's Good to be Alive 10 Year Anniversary

10 years ago on this date God started a miracle that I will forever be thankful for. 

Mike had this great banner made for me.

Emily on the right of the picture is the one who noticed something was wrong with me in the pool.  I am so grateful that she took action.  She was part of the miracle and God used her along with all the people that visited me at Harborview, prayed for me, visited me at my home and more.
