Softball and Lucy 2022

Let's just start with the Silver Bracket Champs in the Tri-Cities tournament!  We didn't attend this tournament but Kristin sent me this picture.  Lucy is the 4th from the left.
Now to the Coeur d Alene, Idaho tournament over Memorial Day weekend.  Lucy plays shortstop most of the time.  She also pitches.  Wow, oh Wow! Is she good or what?
Batter up.
Bam, this was a double.  I really need the coaches to stay out of the way of my picture taking.  Haha!
Fast, Lucy is fast around the bases.
Coming on home to score!
For your viewing pleasure, Murphy!

This is a pre-game rally that Lucy started. I did hear the coach say, "Come on girls, we have a game to play."  Guess they need to start the rally earlier.

Team conference.

This was a great throw to Lucy and a great play at second.  She was called OUT trying to steal!
The aftermath of the tag!

Man, I wish I would have snapped this catch.  It was a good one. I did get another picture but by the time Lucy caught the ball the runner was in front of her.  Lots of cheers on this catch!
Lucy bunted this ball in the air!
There was a huge collision between the two players trying to catch it.  Both were OK but it was not good at all.
Lucy made it to first because the ball wasn't caught.
Off Lucy went to steal 2nd base!

Lucy's steal wasn't a success this time but the tournament was!

Introducing the Silver Bracket Champions! THE EPIC!
And there they are, the sunglass girls.  Friends and teammates!
We had a great time watching Lucy play.  We hadn't seen Lucy's softball skills since the fall.  Here's to you Lucy!  We love you!

Nothing better than watching grandkids do just about anything.  We have a baseball player here!!!  Rivers Gleason #8.  The New Orleans Naturals.  Great name for a baseball team.
Tournament weekend and it was hot and humid.  There was plenty of shade and lots of fans installed at the seating areas.  Spectating was not bad at all.  I can't speak for the players.

Rivers plays in the outfield and first base and he is good at those positions.

Batter up!

And he takes off to steal 2nd base!
Safe!
Oh, did I mention that he pitches? Yes he pitches.

Spectators! Michel and Steve.
Look at me, I can play centerfield.

You can see the ball below Rivers.  He did get hit with this pitch.

Headed for home!

It's a new day.  Sunday and look at that stretch.

Rivers hit two doubles in this game.
Safe again!  The ball is at Rivers feet.
On second heading to third!
And he made it.

Nice catch in the outfield.
A sliding catch!
And that wraps up our visit.  Gray is in the car playing with buttons.
Steve and Michel live in a great area. It has a park all around them.  There are some big, big houses.  I took a few scenery pictures of the area before we left.

These oak trees are incredible.

Our last night in New Orleans there was an lunar eclipse.  Hard to get a great picture but I managed this.
