Sprinkles for the Negative Split 2019

We meet again for the Negative Split Spokane!  It was a drizzly day but a great day for a race! Just wish it wasn't on Sunday.  Sheila, Jackie, Trish! We decked out in our Team Gleason gear.  

 Great to see friends that we haven't seen for awhile! Bonnie and Peggy!

6.2 miles here we come.  This was a great training race for the 1/2 marathon in May.  We had some sprinkles but not enough to slow us down at all.  Once we got going the weather was just right!

 Done!  We felt great about this race.  We will be ready for the 1/2 marathon in May! Of course we have more training to do!!!!

Negative Split Spokane 2016

And here we go again.  The Negative Split Spokane 2016.  The idea is do the 2nd have faster than the first half.  Pretty sure I always do that because I start slow and gain speed.  This is part of the crew that did the race!

 I wasn't in the mood to lug my camera with me so these are cell phone pictures.   Pretty good.  Spokane!

 OK, bagpipes are awesome.  Bagpipes and dancers even better.

 We were celebrating victory before we even started.  The finish line!

Negative Split 5K and Half Marathon

Another beautiful morning in Spokane!  I always feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to spend time outside in our beautiful city!

 Here we go. Freida had already taken off for the half marathon.

 Sheila and I found a place to spend money!  Just headbands.  As you see this was a bit pricey!

So, you say...Why is Freida laughing after running 13 miles?  We spotted Freida and were all excited for her.  There's Freida!  Wait, she is turning around!  What are you doing?  You are only steps away from finishing!  Notice in her had she has her race bib.  It fell off and she had to go back and get it.  Sheila said she is for sure an Elite Athlete Only Different.

 Done with 13.1 and 3.1!  Done for this weekend.  On to the next weekend!

It was a great spring break.  We did something together almost everyday!  Friends!  I am a lucky girl to have such great friends.  The amazing thing is as much as we hang out we never run out of things to talk about and laugh about!  Blessed!
