I have to say this is a really hard blog post to write. Words on a page can't come close to this experience. A couple thousand Christians listening to Christian bands playing and praising God. Talking to each other about our faith, trials and the ultimate victory we have because we are forgiven. Reminds me of the song, Holy Spirit You are Welcome Here. The spirit of God filled Riverfront Park this night. We spent 5 1/2 hours at the park and the time flew by. We really didn't want it to end.
We got to the park to hear Jordan Feliz. He was about half way done with his set. There were a lot of bands but the four headliners were on the main stage and each played a long time. Jordan Feliz was the first of the four. Down By the River is a favorite. Beloved too!
Jordan was taking selfies with the crowd. I wasn't going to wait in line for that so I took a picture of him taking selfies with someone else. Mike wasn't familiar with Jordan Feliz but he is a fan now.
Matt Maher! Lord I need you. Every hour I need you!
Amen to this!
Matthew West. Grace Wins Every Time!
Praising God. Holy Spirit you are Welcome Here!
It was just amazing seeing all the people that came out for this mega concert.
Matthew West brought this little girl up on stage and introduced her to his band. Her sign said she was his number one fan. Her shirt said "Child of the one true King". He asked her if she believed that and she said yes!
Here we go. Mercy Me. It was hard to get good pictures of Mercy Me because they had a light show going on behind them and it was dark out.
Grace Got You! You should listen to it on You Tube! Have you ever met those who keep humming when the songs through?
We Win! We have God! We have eternal life.
The Cross had made you Flawless.
Dear Younger Me!
Click on the link below to hear my recording of Even If. A powerful emotional song based on struggles the lead singer has had coming to grips with the fact that his son has had Type 1 diabetes his whole life and the journey they are on. I just couldn't record the whole thing. The good part was coming up and I had to sing praises. You can watch the whole thing on You Tube.
So much joy
Some up beat songs to end with. Shake is about celebrating our relationship with God. Shout it out and dance away.
He's Greater. Greater is the One living inside of me than he who is living in the world.
