Family Fun with the Doolittles

Wow, God created a perfect picture right outside the Doolittle's home.  So beautiful.

Taco time, dinner time.

And then there was Bentley!
How about a catch?
I gave it a try that's for sure.  Throwing a baseball is a lot different than a softball.  I got a bit of coaching from Easton and Keri.  It helped.  It wasn't the catching I had a problem with.  It was the throwing.

There were several activities going on.  Ryland and Easton were having some sort of whiffle ball batting contest.  I was focused on basketball and relearning how to do that.  Ryland tossed some shots up too.

Keri took my spot with Easton.  She is much better at it.

And then there was Bentley!

I drifted and took more pictures.
Rain over the Rockies!
Mark spectating for now.
Keri helped me with my basketball shot.  Seems like I had forgotten that too.  I have never been very good at basketball.  Keri and I had our own completion.  How many shots could we make in a row?  The record was mine for awhile with 2 shots.  That didn't last long. Keri got 3 in a row and I eventually tied that.

Then the peanut gallery wanted to join in the fun!  Ryland

Mark again!
Easton
The champion!  It was nice while it lasted.
And then there was Bentley!

Ryland the Golfer Extraordinaire

A perfect day for Keri and me to watch Ryland golf in Pueblo, Colorado.  We had a nice view of Pikes Peak.
Warm up time and I am already impressed with Ryland's golf skills.

Nice swing! Perfection.
A little pre tournament conversation with his mom, Keri.
Each golfer was announced and then the tee off.  Here goes Ryland.
Lots of walking for Ryland.  Keri and I had a cart.  We were all doing Bolder Boulder the next day.  Keri and I needed a cart.
Focus and concentration.

This was a perfect swing! The golf ball sailed right out of the sand trap on to the green.  Nothing lost here.

This is a long one.

I know Ryland had a one birdie.  Wow! What a golfer!  The patience, skill, and concentration it takes to golf is amazing.  Ryland has it all.  I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of watching Ryland golf!  A pro for sure.
Time to head home.  Snapped a picture of this sculpture in the parking lot!
Thanks for letting me tag along with you today! It was a great day!

Basketball, Easton and a little Bentley

Let me introduce you to Bentley.  The most unique dog I have met.  He loves to just stalk/stare at people.  He is a great dog.
When you throw this toy Bentley will only pick up the blue ring to bring it back to you.
Blue ring!
Blue ring!
This is the view the Doolittles have from their deck.
And now the real star of the show.  Easton.  Talented athlete and a pretty awesome kid!  40 to 50 boys that just finished 8th grade tried out for the summer high school freshman basketball team. He made the cut.  Good job Easton!
Right in the thick on things on the floor.

Number 7!

Easton played aggressive basketball.
Fighting for the rebound!

He has the ball!!!!!!

Let's go Easton!

Running, running and more running!  Easton has a lot of endurance.
I watched two games Easton played.  Such a good time to get to watch him play basketball in person instead looking at the great videos Keri posts.  Easton posts some too.  Much better live!!!
Can't wait to see what the future holds for Easton.  It will be good.  Really good.
