25th Anniversary Trip Winthrop, WA

25 years of marriage and we are celebrating!  We decided to go to Winthrop.  We had a great time in Winthrop in 2016.  We stayed at the same place where we stayed in 2016.  A nice bed and breakfast.  Chewuch Inn. After we unpacked the car we visited a nearby park.

Beautiful setting!

This is the Methow River!

Mike takes pictures too.

This was a treat for sure.
I followed this deer across the bank on the other side of the river.

And then this happened.  She decided to take a swim.  This was a first for me. I have seen a lot of deer.  We see them in our neighborhood.  I have never seen a deer swim across a river or swim at all.

She made it easily.
Time to dry off a bit.

This is a different deer.  We saw a lot of deer on our trip.
The sun was setting and it was time to head back to the inn.
Until tomorrow.

Our 18th Wedding Anniversary Date

Simple and perfect.  Mike thought it would be just right to go to Coeur d Alene, Idaho and walk around then have a great dinner.  Perfect idea.  It was relaxing, enjoyable and fun.  18 years married to this guy.  Love him!
Flowers, flowers everywhere!

Mike wants a new truck.  This is a great truck but it isn't for sale and it is older than what he wants.  The color is good!
I know it is against the photography rules to take a picture into the sun but sometimes the pictures turn out so good!

We walked around on the boardwalk.  This lake is huge so for sure the boardwalk doesn't go all the way around the lake.  It just goes around the hotel.
A cross in the sky is a great reminder that God is here and he has blessed our marriage for sure.

Love the sun rays in this picture.  When I was young I always thought that the sun rays were Jesus watching out for me.  Now I know he is with me always and always watching out for me.
 I found an eagle!
We had a great dinner.  It was good to just spend time together with no interruptions from our regular life.  Just the two of us.  We talked about what the next 18 years would bring.  I for one am looking forward to spending each year with Mike.  I know God is working in our lives in ways we are not even sure of yet.  It will be an adventure that I am excited for.  Love you Mike Gleason!!!

The Greatest of These is Love, 16 years.

Mike planned a great dinner for us on our anniversary.  He took me to Casper Fry.  Neither one of us had been there.  This is the gift that I gave to Mike.
Surprise we are going to Casper Fry.  It was sort of a surprise.  I mentioned this place and he finally told me that was our destination.
Our type of place.  Good food and a good atmosphere.
I brought my gift along and Mike opened it at the restaurant.
 Reading 1Corinthians 13...all about love.

 Chicken and veggies.
 The happy couple!
There was a little farmers market type thing that we thought we would check out after our dinner.  They were closing down so we missed it.
I am sure it was great!
This place was right there by the market.
We pondered getting some dessert.  Mike got a scone.
Along with the cookies we found the Beatles.
Clever, this place is a converted gas station.
Marriage isn't perfect, marriage is work, marriage brings happiness and laughter.   Our 16 years have been good.  We get better at marriage all the time.  Marriage is a gift from God and I am blessed to have Mike to share this gift with.
