Biking with Sheila and Kayaks with Sheila and Bonnie

Fun days with friends started with a bike ride!  Sheila and I started in the Spokane Valley and turned around at Post Falls, Idaho.  It was about a 10 mile ride.  Our turn around point was at a park on the outskirts of Post Falls.  I am loving my more comfortable, new bike.

This is where Sheila decided we should take a rest.  Of course there were more benches to sit on that weren't covered with foliage from a tree.  Interesting choice.

We discovered this park a couple of years ago with help from a friend.

After a short rest we head back to our starting spot.  As we were crossing the Spokane River we spotted ducks, lots of ducks.

Next adventure was on Clear Lake!  We spent a couple of hours kayaking and talking! Bonnie joined for this adventure.
The day started out with a lot of fog and we considered canceling.  So glad we didn't!  Look at this weather.  It was just right.  Not too hot!

Water like glass.

I found a big rock with birds on it.  As I got closer I scared them away.  Sorry birds.

This was really the last adventure for Sheila.  Time for meetings and getting a classroom ready for students before school starts for her.

Swimming With EAOD Friends

Paddle boarding is the new fun!  I haven't tried it yet but Lesley, Freida, and Evan rented a couple before our swim at Medical Lake.  Looks like fun!

A bunch of EAOD ladies decided to swim across Medical Lake and back.  Biggest group we have ever had!

Almost ready!  2 more swimmers needed in the water!
 Off we go.

Our traditional EAOD picture at the lake!

July 4, 2014

It was a good one this year!  Some swimming, BBQ, and a baseball game.  Perfect!
This is the second time we have met at Medical Lake to swim on the 4th.  Can you say TRADITION? Yes it is!  A new tradition!  See you next year.
I had the idea for the BBQ and I actually got to use the BBQ.  Very carefully checking my burgers!
While Mike weeded the garden.  I like my job better!
 Even the dogs were relaxing!
Time to eat and I didn't burn the burgers or the house down using the BBQ.  Success!

 Perfect evening for some baseball.
They have some new fun things at the stadium.
The Indians were playing a Canadian team.  We got to hear their anthem and ours.
 Oh yeah!
Still working on the selfies!  Getting better!

This guy was pretty amazing with his flips and acrobatics!
We walked back to the car after the game and watched the fireworks from the parking lot and then made a quick exit before the crowds developed.
It was a great 4th of July with Mike!  Until next year!
