Bikes, Basketball and Goodbyes

It warmed up in NOLA!  An outside day for sure.  Michel took us to look at Team Gleason shirts and on the way back to her house she pointed out a new bike path being put in! Ah ha!  Rivers needs to learn how to ride a bike and Grandpa Mike can help.  We got Rivers bike out but it had a flat tire that no pumping would help.  New tube time so off to the bike shop.

A replica!
So cute and such a great boy!
Someone got a new bike tire and a new helmet.
Mike put the wheel back on the bike and we set out for City Park.
Ready set go.  Mike got a workout!  Lots of running!

Mike was hanging on! He didn't crash even though he was leaning!

He's getting it! Click on the video to see his progress

Another video

Last ride of the day!
Time for a break!  On to dribbling a basketball all around the park.
We were told these oak trees are at least 500 years old.  They are protected and can't be cut down.
Ah, a spin in the park!
Next stop was River's basketball game.

No way that boy was keeping that basketball. Rivers had it in the end.
Another struggle for the ball.

Game over and it is time for refreshments with the team!
Rivers had school on Tuesday and had some homework to do!  Of course you need to complete your homework on top of the table.
One last fire for us!
Dinner for the family and friends!  Michel wanted us to have some real New Orleans food.  They ordered the food from the restaurant where we first met Michel.

Goodbye family, goodbye New Orleans!  Mike and I had the best time ever!  Lots of relaxing, love, laughter and for sure time well spent.  God touched us in a unique way from the beginning of this trip until we landed in Spokane.  Ask us anytime and we will tell you all about it. We would love to share!
I wanted a family picture with Kyle!  He takes great care of Steve and is a pretty cool guy too.
