It always sparks joy in our hearts when we get the chance to watch Lucy play softball. We drove to Kennewick to watch her play three games in her tournament. She is super talented!
A toss to second!I took a bunch of pictures so I don't always remember the plays that were happening. Looks like Lucy is at second waiting for a throw.
You make the call. This girl was called safe. Does she look safe to you.? I don't think so.
In this picture you can see Lucy's foot on the bag and the runners foot on Lucy's foot. Not safe.
Lucy got a great hit to knock in a couple of runs at her first game. I think it was a couple of runs. The hit brought in the winning run but the time ran out. Lucy's team was the visiting team. When time ran out there was no time for the home team to bat so the score reverted to the previous inning. Sad but true.
The fans!
The sun was an issue in the last game. Lucy and her teammate were using their gloves to shield their eyes from the sun.
Great weather, time with the family and watching Lucy play softball. A perfect Saturday. We love you Lucy and can't wait until we get to hang out with you again at another tournament.
Mike didn't get much sleep Friday night. He dozed a couple of times during the last game. We kept looking at him to see if his eyes were open. Most of the time they were open but this time not so much.
