Michigan Visit 2024

This visit with my Michigan family was way overdue.  It was a precious time together.  This is my sister Deanne and her husband Brian.  I can't even describe how it felt to see my sister again after such a long time.  So, so good!
Brian and DeeDee (that's what we always called her) have a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting.

The front yard.
The trees were beginning to change colors.  We have many trees that do the same in Spokane.  Most of the trees in Spokane are pine and fir trees that stay green.

DeeDee and I took a daily walk on her road.

Gotta love the Trump flag.
Their home nestled among God's glorious creation.

We took a short walk behind their home.  There is a river somewhere behind the house.
More scenery pictures of their 10 acres.

Some of the local wildlife.

This was so so good.  The family all together to celebrate Cole's birthday.  It felt so good to see everyone.  Karen, my niece and her daughter Lindsey.  Lindsey is expecting her 2nd child.  Deanne, my sister.
Becky, my nephew Mike's wife and Karen.  Such good humans.
Cole is on the right side of the picture.  He was the birthday guy.
Becky, DeeDee and Mike (my nephew)!
The kids.  DeeDee and her children Mike and Karen.
Now Brian joined the picture.  Even though it had been a long time since we had been together nothing had changed.  We are all older for sure but still family in the best way! I loved this get together and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about this.  It was so fabulous to be surrounded by family.
Brian, DeeDee and I took a walk to the river.

On Friday we went to a Christmas store.  It was huge!  Packed with every kind of decoration you could imagine.

Yes, I did!
Carriage rides!  The area was very similar to Leavenworth in Washington State.  Lots of shops and a quaint area.
Our final outing was Cole's football game on Friday night.  That's him running.  I love watching kids play sports. It was a chilly fall night.  A perfect football night.

The high school band!
Not quite a full moon but close.
I really can't describe in words how this trip made me feel.  So blessed to be able to reconnect with everyone! God is good and I thank Him for this opportunity.
