It's Time for Dodger Baseball!

Dodger stadium last year and this year off to Seattle to watch the Dodgers play again.  This family was just a tad bit divided.  Katie mentioned at some point she realized that I was brain washing her when it came to the Dodgers and her true allegiance should be with the Mariners.  She is an adult now and I have no control over the decisions she makes even if they are bad ones.

I have a reputation for wanting to be at a baseball game when the gates open.  I lived up to that reputation for this game.  This was a photo bomb on my part.

Every time I go to Safeco field it is a must to get at least one picture by the murals of the players.  My daughters honored this tradition when I was in Seattle at Harbor View Medical Center.  The nurses said they needed a break and to a game they went.  They took pictures in front of the murals for me.  They made me a great display which I have on my piano to look at everyday.
I think Mike is trying to figure out how the bat was attached.
Now, lots of pictures of baseball players.  I tried to balance my picture taking with just enjoying the game.  Might seem like a lot of pictures for others but I love the memories recorded on my blog.  The relief pitchers were warming up before the game.  Most of the pictures warming up were relievers.  Kenta Maeda!

Pedro Baez.

Not a reliever, Alex Wood.  I would have had to plow through a bunch of small children to get closer and to have any chance for an autograph.  No autographs were happening!

Scot Alexander
JT Chargois

There were Dodger fans everywhere! I mean everywhere!

I did not know this!

More Dodger fans!

Clayton Kershaw, the pitcher for the game.  I deleted a lot of pictures of Kershaw but needed these in my blog.  It was fun watching him warm up.  Man, he can throw the ball a long way.  Part of his practice was to be way out in the field and throw it to his catcher.

Our national anthem! Kiki Hernandez, ?, Justin Turner, Cody Bellinger

Play ball!

More Dodger fans.  We had a really loud Dodger chant going many times during the game.
Here we are! Adversaries in baseball but not in life!  Love you Katie!
Lets Go Dodgers! Lets Go Dodgers!
Kershaw pitched a great game.  Only one run crossed the plate.

Puig.  I moved to a different part of the stadium so I could get some different pictures.  To my surprise there was a Dodger chant happening in this section of the stadium too.  Actually, I wasn't surprised.  Dodger fans were at least as loud as the Mariners.

Base hit!

Throwing balls into the stadium to the Dodger fans.

Joc Pederson
The closer.  The Dodgers won the game 12-1.  It was great fun for me to see all the hitting.  I can cheer for the Mariners again because they won't be playing the Dodgers.
All done!
We finished off the night and the time with Katie at Ivars.
Smoky skies in Seattle.

The people in the boats waited for a place to dock so they could eat at Ivars.  It was a little entertaining watching how they picked who got to go to the dock.  Seemed like there was a system.

We got to see the bridge raise.  Unique.  Time to head. back to Spokane.  We had a great time with Katie and Kristina.   Most of all the game was a blast.  Let's Go Dodgers, Let's Go Dodgers!!!  Maybe I will get to see the Dodgers in Colorado next year.  Sounds like a plan!
