Bear Lake Hiking and Mt. Spokane Snowshoeing Feb 2022

Is it a tradition now?  This is the second year we have walked around Bear Lake.  Angie, Lauri, Talena and me.  We were missing Talena this time.  We were trying to figure out what this square was.  Maybe someone cleared a spot for ice skating????  It was frozen enough for that.

These two tested the ice.  They even did some sliding on it. I took pictures of them testing the ice. Someone had to be ready if the ice cracked. 

It didn't crack.  

This rock proved how solid the ice was.  Last year Lauri threw a big rock on the ice. It crashed through the ice.  This year Lauri got another rock and threw it on the lake in about the same spot.  It didn't even crack the surface.  Solid as a rock.  Another tradition.  Lauri will have to do this next year too. 

Shifting gears.  Mariane and I took a day to go snowshoeing.  It was a gorgeous day.  Lots of sunshine.  The snow was a bit hard and we probably could have hiked it but the snowshoes are fun.

We made it to the cabin and ate our snacks.  We headed back to the car.  What a glorious day. 

Valentine's Day Basketball with Lucy 2022

This was the last game I saw for the season.  So fun watching Lucy try new things!  

 

Lucy and Basketball

Lucy is trying out basketball.  This is her first time playing and she is doing great.  Lucy is #4 and in 7th grade.

So far Deer Park girls are undefeated. This is a different game and I am trying out my new camera which has so many things to it I just decided to put the setting on auto until I learn how to really use it.  For some reason the pictures didn't load in order but I wasn't going to go fix them all.  

This game was a close one against Medical Lake.

This game went down to the last minute and Deer Park was victorious.  A really fun game to watch.  Congratulations Team Deer Park!
