Glacier National Park Thursday - Going to the Sun Road

Scenery, lots of scenery pictures. The pictures don't really capture the true beauty of what God created!  We got a late start on Thursday.  We had to finish setting up and getting settled.  We decided to drive into the park and up the Going to the Sun Road.  This was a repeat of a previous vacation for us but I had really bad allergies last trip and spent most of the time with a washcloth over my face.  Allergy medicine did not work.  I remember a couple things about the drive last time. One, I was miserable and two the Going to the Sun Run gets really narrow and windy.  The road hasn't changed at all.  No sight seeing allowed while driving on that road.  We stopped along the way to check out some scenery.  Stop one!

Mike doing what Mike does! Watching what other people are doing.  See the person taking pictures on the lower left of the picture.  Mike is checking him out.
The photographer was nice enough to take a picture of us together.

We have made it to the Logan Pass.  Logan Pass is the high point on the Going to the Sun Road.  Beautiful scenery again!
I love rocks and this is a big one.  What made the layers?  What kind of minerals make the colors?  That's the geology minor in me.
There is a nice path to walk around at Logan's Pass!  We survived the ride up now it's back down the narrow, windy road!
On our way back we stopped at the Red Rocks!  The color of the water was amazing.  Lots of different colors.  I assume it is because of the rocks beneath the water.

That wraps up Thursday!  Back to the the trailer to have dinner.  A glorious day!
