Lucy is 13!

Lucy Jean a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made.

One year and thirteen years! 

I think we semi surprised Lucy for her 13th birthday at Didiers Yogurt! Lucy said she knew something was up.  Mike and I got to Didiers and then the Lathrops.  One by one one more family showed up.  We really took over the place. Adorable Lucy!

Looking down at phones?  Doesn't that cause neck issues eventually? Actually Mike was sharing wild animal pictures. Mike should be looking down after his eye surgery.

Lucy is redecorating her room.  This is a cow print rug that will match her western decor. 

Here comes the final surprise! Lucy had opened all her presents at home.  Justin told her there was one more in the car! 

She got a phone!!!!  Hooray!

Mercy Me Spokane April 2022

Great concert with Sheila and her friend.  Andrew Ripp was the first to go on this night.Very good!!!!!  Next up was Rend Collective.  I knew of the existence of this band and I had heard only one of their songs. Fabulous.  They are from Ireland and their worship music reflected it.  I couldn't bring my regular camera in because you can't bring cameras with exchangeable lenses.  Cell phone pictures just aren't the same.  This group was so much fun to listen to.  Unique instruments and a unique sound.

And now ladies and gentlemen, Mercy Me! I really like their music.  I have chosen to learn several of their songs on my guitar.  

During the time when the world was quarantined Mercy Me got together at a cabin and wrote 40 songs.  You can see some of the songs online.  Search them and you will find them.  Example Dear Younger Me Quaratine. Mercy Me recreated the atmosphere of those times at the concert.  First the trees in the background,  then the crickets and then the campfire! A true campfire sing along.  Unique!

When I listen to this song I picture myself standing face to face with Jesus. It is impossible to even imagine what that will be like.  It will be beyond any words we have to try and describe it.  We will know someday.

There's Joy in the House of the Lord, Phil Wickham and Josh Baldwin

Wow! What a night of worship.  It wasn't a concert focused on these two men.  It was a night of worship.  

Phil Wickham and Josh Baldwin! I went to this concert by myself but met some great people.  A precious couple that has 4 children and is adopting one that has been their foster child.  I met two ladies that saw the Beatles in concert like I did.  Small world.  I wasn't alone that is for sure.  I didn't feel that way one minute. The Holy Spirit was there in a might way.
