Celebrating the Birth of Jesus 2018

Love, family and the Birth of Jesus.  So much to celebrate on this day.  We had some extra special people join our day.  Katie came home from Seattle, which she hasn't done for a few years.  We also went up to visit the Lathrops later in the day.  You will notice Murphy here.  He wants food but is barking up the wrong tree.  Katie won't give him any.  That is Mike's job.  Scrambled eggs and a cinnamon roll.  The traditional Christmas breakfast of champions.
A rare moment for Katie and Sammie.
 Present opening has started!
 AHHHH!
Not so rare for Murphy and Katie.  Murphy will get really close to you whenever possible.
What did the Doolittles get Papa Mike?
Lots of good things including very special flavored almond and peanut butter.  Delicious was the word Mike used.
Layne and Lucy bought this for us.  Great gift because we were lacking this game for game time with them earlier in the year.  Very thoughtful.
Thanks Lathrops for the gift card, ornament and for Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.

Well, my entry to Bolder Boulder is paid for thanks to Keri and Mark.
Off to see the gang in Deer Park.  A little garbage can fire taking place in Deer Park.  Gets rid of the Christmas paper etc.
New toy! Out in the cold in their pajamas jumping!

An indoor break to try and figure out how to make goo.  If you notice the huge container of glue Lucy is holding it will give you and idea of home much goo can be made.  Hopefully, not all at once.

Next the race car tracks that we gave Lucy.

All the while Katie is helping Kristin get her new speaker for the TV connected.
 Layne is still at it.

Still moving forward.  She has lost Lucy.

 Really?  This is complicated.
Kristin provided some snacks for us to munch on.

And then there was the Katie's performance.  She did a full flip after practicing.
And here it is! Proof!

 Layne upside down.
 and sideways.

It's time to go but just one more thing.  Snow scooters.  Yes, snow scooters.

And there she goes.  I missed Layne and Lucy doing this.
 Merry Christmas!
Ryland and Easton with the presents we got for them.
 Movie time for the Doolittles.
Some Christmas pictures of the NOLA Gleasons!

That about wraps it up.  It was a great day.  Someday perhaps the whole family can be together to celebrate the Birth of Jesus.
